We have been in business well over 55 years and are the first chain

What are the different currencies that
you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including American Express and Traveler’s
Checks at all our stores
What are your store hours?
Stores are open from 8am to 10pm, Monday through Sunday.
Do you have any stores that are open 24
hours?
Yes. Our location in the corner of 2nd St. and Constitución in
downtown Tijuana is open 24 hours
I don’t speak Spanish, how will
we
be able to communicate?
Our associates go through language training in order to be able to best
serve our English speaking customers
Should I drive or walk across?
It all depends on your personal choice. We have 8 locations that are
within a comfortable walking distance from the border as well as a location
with ample parking just pass the border.
Buying
Medications
How much can I save by buying my medications
in Mexico?
Individual savings can range from 20% to over 60% off the U.S. price
for the exact same medication.
Can you send my order by email?
You can email us with a list of medications and quantities that we can
have ready for you for to pick-up in person at the store.
Do you need to bring your U.S. Prescriptions
to México in order to buy your medications?
It is not necessary but we recommend that you do. Since formula names
for medications can be difficult to translate, having your U.S. prescription
can help our associates find the exact equivalent.
What is a controlled substance or controlled
medication?
They are the medications that require a valid prescription that adheres
to the guidelines set up by the Health Department in order to purchase
them.
How can you tell if the medication that
I want to purchase is a controlled medication?
Our associates will gladly let you know what medications require a prescription.
We recommend that you speak with your physician before coming to Mexico.
Controlled substances or medications in the U.S. will also be considered
controlled substances in Mexico.
Is there an age limit in order to buy controlled substances?
Yes. You have to be a minimum of 18 years of age in order to purchase
controlled substances.
What is the maximum quantity that
I can buy of a controlled substance?
The maximum quantity of pills depends on the package of that particular
medication. There is a limit of 2 boxes or bottles that can be dispensed
with a prescription for a controlled substance
Can you refer me to a doctor in order
to get a prescription?
We have a directory of doctors for those wishing to set up an appointment
beforehand. Please note that it is our policy not to refer to physicians
for the sole purpose of obtaining a prescription.
How easy is it to purchase non controlled medications?
98% of the medications on the market and all the common medications
for cholesterol control, antibiotics and erectile dysfunction do not
require a prescription in Mexico and are really easy to purchase at
the pharmacy
Why are the names different for the same
medication?
Does it mean that it is different?
Although most of the newer medications are being marketed with the same
name both sides of the border, some of the older medications will have
different names although the formula and manufacturer will be the same.
This is done for marketing purposes.
Are generics the same as the brand name
medications?
All our generics are from the most well-know laboratories in Mexico
and have the same quantity of the active ingredient. The price difference
has no bearing on the quality of the medication and are widely recommended
as a lower price alternative
