Important
Things
You Need to Know
What
you need to know before
coming to Mexico to buy medications
1. Please check with your referring physician in the
U.S. whether the medication that you want to purchase in Mexico is controlled.
If it is a controlled medication in the U.S., it will also be a controlled
medication in Mexico.
2. Look over the list of controlled medications in
our website to see if your medication is considered a controlled substance
in Mexico.
3. If it is a controlled substance, you will need a
prescription from a doctor in Tijuana or the city in which you are planning
to visit.
4. Certain medications in the U.S. contain two or more
active ingredients. These medications may have only one active ingredient
in Mexico
5. Prices are controlled by the government on patent
medications but not with generics. The percentages of discounts that
you see on generics may not reflect the real savings.
6. Although there are many reputable independent pharmacies,
we recommend that visitors purchase at established pharmacy chains.
You will find salespeople that are more trained and can best serve you.
7. Our recommendation is to email us at info@farmaciasinternacional.com
double check the
availability of the medications that are needed.
8. You may need to make arrangements beforehand in
order to set up and appointment with a doctor. You can check the directory
in our website.
